What is Yoga?
A 14-hours course about the meaning of yoga that will help you deepen your practice.

Yoga is so much more than the physical (Asana) practice, but unfortunately in regular classes there is no time to learn about the other essential aspects of yoga.
This course combines the physical practice with theoretical teachings of yoga history and philosophy and is a taste of what a teacher training looks like.

Who would benefit from this course?
Those who are passionate about yoga and want to learn more.
Those who have considered a teacher training but are not fully ready to invest a lot of time and money on it.
Those who are new to yoga and want to learn about the basics before diving into the physical practice.

Purpose of the course:

  • To deepen your knowledge of yoga and build a meaningful practice
  • To learn the basics of yoga history, yoga philosophy, basic breathing, and meditation techniques
  • To understand why we practice yoga and how the yoga that you practice on the mat also can help you in your daily life

Your teacher
Emily is a regular teacher at NOR:, she has been teaching in Copenhagen since 2018 and has more than 600 hours of certified yoga teacher trainings. She is trained in Ashtanga – Vinyasa as well as Yin. She holds a bachelor in Biomedicine and a Master in Human Nutrition. She also works as a plant-based nutrition coach and helps people finding balance in their diet. During summer and autumn, she hosts retreats in Italy, in her family-owned retreat center, built next to the house she grew up in. Emily is a self-love practitioner and invested in sharing about her personal journey and struggles in life to inspire other to be vulnerable and strong. She is a kind, open-hearted person who deeply cares about her students.
